Tap Room Tuesday's weekly open discussion. This week: the villains whose reasons hit a little too close to home. Thanos snapped away half of all life to save the universe. Killmonger wanted Wakanda's weapons to free the oppressed. When does the bad guy's diagnosis feel right — and where does "right" stop? One hour, everyone talks, everyone respects one another. Hosted by Daniel Rose, The Pastor Next Door.
Tonight's five questions:
1. When has a villain's diagnosis felt right to you even when their cure made you sick? Where do diagnosis and cure come apart?
2. Killmonger was the villain, but Wakanda was wrong too — hoarding everything while the world suffered. If the hero's side is also wrong, where does that leave the story? Where does that leave you?
3. What makes someone a villain — what they want, or what they'll do to get it? Can a good cause go too far, or does "too far" only exist when the other side does it?
4. Have you ever been the villain in someone else's story? Or realized someone you'd judged was just the hero of a story you hadn't read?
5. Give one villain one thing they got right. Then name the line you hope you'd never cross.
