Tap Room Tuesday
This Tuesday, our "Art & Culture" series delves into the power of narrative with "Storytelling & Truth."
From epic films to historical novels, stories shape how we see the world. But when does artistic license cross the line, and how do we distinguish between fact and creative interpretation?
Let's explore:
Does the artistic truth justify the factual lie in impactful but inaccurate historical stories?
How do narratives shape your initial understanding of cultures or history, and are they better for empathy than accuracy?
What ethical responsibility do storytellers have when adapting real lives or traumatic events?
How can we become better at discerning historical truth from artistic interpretation in media?
Join us for a thought-provoking conversation!
