The Antioch Movement is all about multiplication and discipleship. It’s who we are. Our identity as a people is wrapped up those two things. If we are not about discipleship and multiplication then we may as well fold up and go home. Those four sentences are easy to write, easy to say, but really hard to live. For us to become a people who lives this out we need a perspective shift. You learn how to handle the words and when you find someone who speaks words of life, you embrace them. One of the phrases that people would offer as a means to help was, “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will neverRead More →

For forty days Jesus was tempted in the desert. We typically don’t think about the reality that he was tempted for forty days. We usually just read the narrative and consider the three specific temptations that are listed there: And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And he ate nothing during those days. And when they were ended, he was hungry. The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” And Jesus answered him,“It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.’” And the devil took him up andRead More →
